Made of 34% lead crystal unlike other crystal that is only made of 24% lead crystal. The extra 10% lead gives Waterford crystal the extra shine and elegance that the many cuts possess. ALSO each Waterford Crystal piece is handcrafted which also gives Waterford a unique mark to its each piece!
Waterford has two lines of crystal giftware: Waterford Crystal Ireland and Waterford Crystal Marquis.
The Marquis line is more contempory targeted towards a modern audience. Also the Marquis line, the crystal is made of only 24% lead crystal and is usualluy made in Germany.
The traditional Waterford Crystal is the Waterford Ireland line which is marked on the crystal with a green sticker with a seahorse on it. The pieces in this line are made of 34% lead crystal and have more cuts in them and they are made in Ireland. We recommend you buy the Ireland line which is better quality, although it is more expensive.
