How to Take Care of Your Flatware

Stainless Steel Flatware Care:

You would think Stainless Steel flatware actually is "stainless", however it actually just "stains-less" than other flatware! You must still give them some minimal care.

Care of flatware is quite easy if you keep care to right after you eat.  To help keep your flatware looking its best (and to prevent buying new replacement pieces all the time!), do the following:

  • Stainless stains less however do not neglect it
  • Watch out for the following foods that can really stain your nice flatware given some time!:

  • Eggs
  • Vinegar
  • Acids
  • Salt
  • Most Stainless Steel Flatware is Dishwasher Safe. Make sure to put them straight into the dishwasher and wash them soon after eating.  After washing in a dishwasher, ensure that your flatware is completely dry.

DO NOT IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES do the following to your stainless steel:

  • Use Steel Wool!
  • Use Coarse Powders for cleaning!
  • Abrasives!
  • Soak your Flatware, even in plain water!
  • Leave unwashed overnight !
  •

Subject to availability to June 1rst 2005.

Doing (and not doing) the things we mentioned above will keep your stainless steel flatware looking shiny and bright, and will save you $ money in the long-term. This will also save you time as a few bad looking flatware pieces can make you lose time tracking down replacements for them.
